Because Stephen King’s IT was one of the first adult novels I read, at age 10. 🤡 stuartsward at outlook.com

I’m scared of clowns because..well John Wayne Gacy for one. They are creepy and IT was one of the firsy scary clown movies I saw as a young (probably shouldnt have been watching it) child. Thanks for the chance!

My friend had a clown at her 5th birthday party and he was reallyyyyy large and towering and he had so much face makeup. But with it being a summer birthday in LA the heat made him sweat so much that I literally thought his face was melting off. Like Raiders of the Lost Arc status.

    Forever traumatized.

Clowns steal the soul of kids through the laughs they provoke, else why would they hide their true personas with makeup?

Not necessarily scared of clowns. I just love horror flicks. Any kind. Good, bad, cheesy, gory. The only one that made me nervous was the lame clown doll in Poltergeist. I don’t like the thought of creepy toys hiding under beds!

Literally, Pennywise and John Wayne Gacy are the reason clowns horrify me. Clowns and the whole carnival ‘on the road’ vibe that surrounds clowns and the circus has always rubbed me the wrong way (no pun intended), LOL… “BEEP BEEP Richie! They ALL float down here. When you’re down here with us, you’ll float too!” :0

Clowns are downright C-R-E-E-P-Y! The painted on smiles and sinister laughs. Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.
