80’s Newscast ‘Minute By Minute’ Reports Barb From ‘Stranger Things’ is Missing

You think you know the 80’s. But then an archival newsreel from 5 WIYZ Hawkins, Indiana is uncovered and you question everything. Like why is Brenda Wood’s hair so totally amazing? Or, whatever happened to that girl Barbara Holland? Just how many Eggos did Eleven eat? The world needs to know!

A YouTube video on Netflix’s channel, released on Halloween, shows some archival footage from “Minute by Minute,” a local news show from fictional TV station WIYZ. The report is presented by real-life news anchor Brenda Woods and breaks the news of Barb’s disappearance.

“Barbara Holland, a student at Hawkins High, known as Barb to her friends, was last seen at Steve Harrington’s home just a few days ago with a number of other Hawkins-area teens,” Woods says.

Barb’s friends described her as “loyal to a fault,” and as “the kind of girl who notices if you’re wearing a new bra.”

Woods gives very specific details on what Barb was last seen wearing;  “a pink blouse, green pants, blue puffer jacket, and an over-sized pair of absolutely fantastic glasses.”

Stranger Things Season 2 was green lit just a few weeks ago and will debut in 2017. Early reports are that it will pick up 1 year from where we left the Byers family in Season one and take place in the Fall. We have also learned we will find out more about what really happened to Barb. Looks like we are taking another trip into the Upside Down. More details as they become available.
