Marilyn Manson Teases His New Thriller ‘Let Me Make You a Martyr’

Downright Creepy’s film festival, Panic Fest, was one of the first festivals to get their hands on Marilyn Manson‘s LET ME MAKE YOU A MARTYR at the beginning of 2017. Now we get to unleash the trailer debut to let the people know something they most likely already knew…Manson is creepy AF!

The first line in the trailer sets up the tone for the entire film…

“You ever kill a man with your bare hands?”

After which, Manson sings a creepy religious hymn to an unknown driver of the car he is riding in shortly after he tells him his father killed someone. When the car comes to a stop the man asks “You’re going to kill me in there, aren’t you?”

Manson just stares at him as the music plays its way out to the title treatment.

He plays a character named Pope who is a hitman hired to murder a crime boss and the abusive father (Mark Boone Jr.) of two adopted siblings (Niko Nicotera, Sam Quartin.) The action crime drama was written, directed and co-produced by Corey Asraf and John Swab.

Manson recently told Rolling Stone that Mark (Boone Jr.) brought him onto the project.

“We were friends from Sons of Anarchy. He’s sort of my unwanted mentor. He tells me what to do. He’s always encouraged me, but he’s very bossy about it. He says things like, ‘You gotta do this, motherfucker. You’ll like this.'”

LET ME MAKE YOU A MARTYR is scheduled for a limited release May 25 before expanding to more theaters through June 9. It is also scheduled to debut June 6 on VOD.
