Resident Evil is a staple in the gaming community. Whether it’s horror survival or zombie action, RE brings it like no game before or since. To commemorate their success, the creators held a Fifteenth Anniversary Panel.

To celebrate fifteen years of achievement, RE is re-releasing two legendary games in High Definition. Resident Evil 4, one of the best games ever created, comes out in HD 9-20-11. Resident Evil: Code Veronica X arrives 9-27-11.

RE is also releasing two new games. The first is Resident Evil: Revelations. This installment will take place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 and will reveal secrets about the two main characters: RE legends Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield.

The next, and feature installment of 2011, is Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. REORC takes fans back to Resident Evil 2 and follows a group of soldiers working for Umbrella Inc. who are attempting to stop the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City. Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield will make appearances. This episode is a new take on RE, as it leaves behind the horror survival aspect and focuses more on fast action, fast moving, and fast shooting.

When the panel was asked about a possible Resident Evil 6, a lot of hush-hush, giggling, and blushing went on. Expect it sooner than later, fans.

For now, check out the raw video footage of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City after the jump.
