20th Century Fox brought four films to San Diego Comic-Con this year including the film adaptation of the young adult novel Maze Runner. The film was directed by Wes Ball, stars Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf). Wes said he knew he had a challenge directing yet another film that is an adaptation of a young adult novel but was up to the challenge because this film is a bit more darker than what we are use to seeing from a film of this caliber. Many comparisons have been made to the Hunger Games franchise but from what small glimpses I see of what lies within the maze it does seem darker.

This Fall enter the maze, unlock the mystery. Hits theaters on September 19th.

When Thomas (O’Brien) wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. Only by piecing together fragments of his past with clues he discovers in the maze can Thomas hope to uncover his true purpose and a way to escape. Based on the best-selling novel by James Dashner.
