When I heard Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice was developing CREEP 2 two I had one question. Will we see more Peachfuzz! Now that we have the official trailer for CREEP 2 we can confirm everyone’s favorite cheap freaky fucking mask is back and with it comes Duplass playing a deranged serial killer inviting his next victim to video tape him.
The simplicity of the storytelling from the original CREEP was fantastic. Two men. One camera. Isolation. The actors had to nail their roles and it worked to perfection in my opinion. The reveal we see at the end of CREEP setup the opportunity for another film. In fact we could see multiple films or copycat killers if the sequel succeeds.
The Duplass Brothers and their friends have proven time and time again that if you want to make a film all it takes is the will power, a good story and effort. Anything is possible and the CREEP films are a shining example of that. Check out the new trailer below.
The Orchard will release CREEP 2 on all digital platforms on October 24th
Desiree Akhavan (“Girls”, APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR) stars as Sara, a video artist whose primary focus is creating intimacy with lonely men. She drives to a remote house in the forest and meets a man claiming to be a serial killer (Mark Duplass, reprising his role from the previous film). Unable to resist the chance to create a truly shocking piece of art, she agrees to spend the day with him. However, as the day goes on she discovers she may have dug herself into a hole she can’t escape.
