As I have mentioned in a few previous articles I’m a huge fan of stop-motion animation and if you are anything like me then you’ll love the new American Horror Story: Freak Show title sequence! It’s my favorite thing I’ve seen from the show so far.

American Horror Story: Freak Show’ begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

The new ‘Freak Show’ season will see franchise veteran Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars, a German ex-patriot running one of the last American freak shows, which also includes rescued “unusuals” from the likes of ‘Coven‘ and franchise stars Gabourey Sidibe and Emma Roberts. ‘The Normal Heart‘ stars Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock will both take new roles, while Wes Bentley will guest in a Halloween arc.

Additionally, original ‘Fargo‘ star John Carroll Lynch will play the season’s big bad clown killer “Twisty,” singer Patti LaBelle will play Gabourey Sidibe’s mother, and the world’s smallest woman Jyoti Amge will guest as someone predictably tiny.

Premiering Wednesday, October 8, here’s how FX officially describes its fourth season ‘Freak Show’
