After its successful debut during Steam Next Fest, Headware Games’ survival horror Hollowbody now has a launch date. Players can enter the harrowing dystopian world of Hollowbody on September 12. Alongside the launch date announcement, the developer also released a new trailer showcasing its horrors.
Hollowbody takes place in the near future in the decay of a long forgotten British city. Players take on the role of Mica, an unlicensed black market shipper in search of her missing partner, Sasha. It’s 12 days after Sasha’s disappearance that Mica gets a job that’ll get her a two-hour window right inside the exclusion zone. But, after her hover crashes deep in the exclusion zone, she’s left stranded with limited resources to survive with. Mica will have to explore the oppressive environments and fight for her survival and find Sasha.
The developers describe Hollowbody as a dystopian love letter with its grimy, oppressive atmosphere and tense 4-5 hours of gameplay. Hollowbody will also feature a blend of dynamic and fixed camera angles for players craving those nostalgic 2000s survival horror games. The tech-noir title features full voice acting, logic puzzles, resource management, and limited combat. Players can also unlock new features with post-game unlocks.
Hollowbody is set to launch for PC via Steam and GOG on September 12.
