While running from a group of bullies, Sally finds herself in a dark, twisted version of her hometown, Bethelwood. Dark forces and terrifying creatures make her face her fears, forcing her to come to terms with her worst memories.

This allows you to fend off creatures of the night and protect yourself. Additionally, not only can you use the flashlight, but you can also use traps or objects in your environment to maneuver around your opponents. Stealth is a crucial part of this game to pass certain levels. Therefore, with any game with stealth mechanics, there are visual indicators to determine if an enemy has spotted you or if you are safe.
