To better understand, each time a player dies, a new teammate is chosen to continue the mission. However, once players lose all their teammates, then a new iteration or loop will start. But all items collected beforehand remain. This makes it so that players don’t have to go through the entire mansion again to find and retrieve important items. Unless it’s a part of the puzzles.
The game’s pixelated graphics give a sense of nostalgia, similar to the older 16-bit consoles. The mansion’s dimly lit rooms and corridors create a spooky atmosphere, while its creepy music and sounds enhance the overall experience. The combat system is simple yet engaging, relying on a combination of melee attacks, ranged attacks, and puzzle-solving. Personally, it took me about a total of 3 death loops to get used to the gameplay mechanics and a total of 6 iterations to finish the game.
