Buckle up butterscups…
Turtle Rock Studios newest co-op zombie title has been shown extensively all weekend at E3. Seen by many as a sort of spiritual successor to the studios ‘Left 4 Dead’ series, ‘Back 4 Blood’ garnishes a very similar feel. The four player co-op gameplay sees players banding together to face various different horrifying creatures. A newly discovered parasite has caused a worldwide outbreak and its up to the players to face off against the “Ridden”.
While the similarities of the two games are apparent, the studio assures their newest will stand out from the originals. With a deeper and more expanded story, as well as more capable player characters than those seen in the ‘Left 4 Dead’ series. The original games saw players taking control of unexperienced survivors of a zombie outbreak. With ‘Back 4 Blood’ player characters known as “Cleaners” are far more confident and capable of taking on their adversaries.
The highly anticipated game launches October 12, 2021 for Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Players who preorder the title will get an early access beta from August 5th to the 9th.
