Bloober fans got a surprise during the Xbox Games Showcase – Cronos: The New Dawn got a new Fall 2025 release date. Chronos: The New Dawn takes inspiration from horror classics like Dead Space and Silent Hill.
Set in a grim and brutal world, players must navigate the lines of the past and future to survive. In the past, you’ll see The Change, a cataclysmic event that will forever change humanity. Then, in the future, players will have to rely on tactical thinking and quick reflexes to find time rifts for the Collective.
However, the desolate world is filled with nightmarish enemies born from the last remnants of humanity. To defeat them, you’ll need to utilize a unique arsenal of souls. Locate key people from the past and harvest their souls to extract their Essences – but be careful. The more essences you carry, the more your reality warps. Whispers in your ear, hallucinations, and more will drive you closer to madness.
While your reality begins to deteriorate, you’ll also have to watch out for enemies on the battlefield. Enemies won’t always stay dead. Other enemies can absorb previously killed creature to become faster and much more deadlier in a process called Merging.
Chronos: The New Dawn is set to release in 2025 to Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, and to PC on Steam and the Epic Store.
