DON’T NOD and Focus Entertainment have released their much-anticipated extended gameplay trailer for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. The trailer offers fans a glimpse into the eerie world of New Eden, where paranormal investigators confront vengeful spirits and curses.
Set in a desolate town haunted by a malevolent ghost. Players take on the role of paranormal investigators Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, who are tasked with finding the truth behind a series of unsettling occurrences. Antea and Red are lovers and experience banishers, who have dedicated their lives to protecting the living from the paranormal. However, after a tragic mission leaves Antea fatally wounded, she becomes the thing she hates the most – a spirit. Because of this, Antea and Red are searching for a way to free her from her affliction.
The trailer starts with a look at a fierce ghost within a meeting house, while a cryptic conversation between characters occurs, giving a foreboding hint as to what the gameplay will include. Similarly, the talk includes the disappearance of a group of refugees. As well as some touches on the themes of betrayal and sacrifice, setting the stage for a chilling narrative. Players also get a look at Antea’s and Red’s abilities along with their arsenal.
The game promises a variety of supernatural threats, from ghastly apparitions to perplexing creatures. Additionally, the trailer shows the complex relationships between two sisters, Kate and Thickskin. These character dynamics are likely to play a significant role in the game’s narrative since it becomes evident that the characters are on a quest for redemption and closure. Moreover, the decisions players make influence the fate of the characters and the town of New Eden.
