Focus Entertainment and DON’T NOD’s Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden released a new gameplay trailer during their Summer Game Fest slot. Banishers had their world premiere during the 2022 The Game Awards introducing the lore and brief glimpses of gameplay.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden takes place in New Eden in the late 17th century. Here we are introduced to lovers and Banishers Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith. Banishers, or ghost-hunters, vow to protect the living world from ghosts and specters by banishing them. However, during their last mission, Antea is mortally wounded and soon becomes the thing they both loathe. Antea and Red, desperate for a solution, search the haunted North American woods for answers.
Credit: Focus EntertainmentPlayers will be able to take control over both Antea and Red to solve haunting cases and battle supernatural creatures. However, players should be cautious. Challenging decisions – meaningful or morally ambiguous – will impact the story and the fates of characters, both dead and alive.
Pre-orders for the Standard and Collector’s Edition of Banishers are available now. The pre-order bundle includes a modular statuette of Red and Anthea, a SteelBook, two Banisher signet rings, an artbook, and The Wanderer Set DLC.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden currently does not have a release date, but is expected to launch later this year. Banishers will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and for PC on Steam.
