What is summer for if not big budget action adventure films! All the better if such a film is a creature feature starring Idris Elba facing off against a gigantic pissed off lion! This is exactly what Universal Pictures is giving us this summer with ‘Beast’. The recently released trailer is giving us a look at what to expect…and a peek at Elba straight up punching a blood thirsty lion in it’s serial killing face! As a fan of horror featuring nature enacting its revenge against the humans who have wronged it I am pretty excited to see some poachers get their comeuppance.

SYNOPSIS:
Idris Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them.
