Colorado’s nationally acclaimed horror attraction Terror in the Corn will be giving fans a new way to experience their attraction. In a video game and a comic book! The attraction follows the evil Wells twins and their battle with a witch who unleashes a curse on their town.
“When the opportunity presented itself to be one of the first haunted attractions to expand its world into a comic book and video game, we immediately jumped on it,” says Michael Edwards, Operations Director for Terror in the Corn.
The Terror in the Corn game is currently in development by FreakZone Games and Metal X Entertainment. Players take on the role of a miner navigating through the eerie cornfields looking for clues and artifacts to escape. However, as players look for the clues, a giant scarecrows, a possessed doll, a chainsaw-wielding maniac, and a vengeful witch nip at your heels. The Terror in the Corn game is now available for PC via Steam.
The Wells Twins
Meanwhile, the companion comic book, The Wells Twins comes from Joshua Viola and Sean Eads. The interior art comes from Juan Samu, covers by Matthew Therrien, and lettering by Tom Napolitano. The comic follows the story of Charles and Mildred Wells – siblings and owners of the Wells Hotel and Funeral Home. However, not everything is as it seems with these dark, twisted entrepreneurs.
“As a longtime fan and regular attendee of the Terror in the Corn attraction, I was thrilled to help bring their vision to life through both a video game and comic book,” says Joshua Viola. “The game is genuinely terrifying and expertly crafted jump scares keep you on edge. I can’t decide which is scarier—the game or the haunt itself! The comic, on the other hand, expands the lore, delving deeper into the dark world behind the attraction and adding even more depth to the Terror in the Corn experience.”
