Today’s review is one that definitely seems to have flown under the radar, or it did for me until Adam suggested it for the podcast. It is the Blumhouse film, Sweetheart. I vaguely remember this based on one still I saw from the film then never thought about it again until today. Boy, are you guys missing out!
The film stars Kiersey Clemons (DOPE.) who will be starring in the upcoming film ‘Antebellum’ and Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ TV Mini-series.
Sweetheart is a quick fun ride with a running time of only 82 minutes and comes to us from director J.D. Dillard. It is now available to stream on Netflx.
SYNOPSIS: Jenn has washed ashore a small tropical island and it doesn’t take her long to realize she’s completely alone. She must spend her days not only surviving the elements, but must also fend off the malevolent force that comes out each night.
