‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’ turned out to be a sleeper hit back in 2019, leaving many fans wanting more. Asobo, the studio that developed the game went on to make ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ following the success of the first title. However it seems the studio is set to return to the survival horror genre with ‘A Plague Tale: Requiem’.
Set in 1348 during the Hundred Years’ War, the original title saw a pair of siblings attempting to survive the English Armies invasion as well as swarms of disease ridden rats. The stealth horror gameplay made for an intense and gripping experience as you attempt to navigate the horrors of medieval Europe. The new title looks to build on the mechanics that made the original stand out, while continuing the siblings story.
The cinematic trailer shows off a massive wave of diseased rats scurrying through the streets. Set to continue the nightmares from the first game, while dialing the horrors up to the max. ‘A Plague Tale: Requiem’ is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime in 2022.
