Koei Techmo’s survival horror game, ‘Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water’ is getting a remaster for modern consoles. The newest entry in the horror franchise made its launch originally on the Wii U back in 2015. During the Nintendo Direct portion of E3, the remaster got a short teaser for the Switch. Sony also released a longer trailer showing off the upgrades made to the base game.
The Japanese developers newest title takes place on the fictional Hikami Mountain. An area ripe with supernatural phenomena and other horrors. Players get control of three different characters all with different abilities in a third person perspective. Exploring the mountains many haunted areas you only get one way to defend yourself, a camera. Swapping over to a first person perspective when using the camera, this becomes your main defense against the many supernatural habitants of the mountain.
