Get ready to face off against the Underworld, Hades II Early Access is now available for PC users. Players got to get a sneak peek to the direct sequel last month during its technical test where players got play through the opening section and first boss fight. Hades II marks the first sequel for Supergiant Games, however, players won’t be assuming the role of Zagreus in this title.
Hades II is a rogue-like dungeon crawler that allows players to continue after the events of the first game. However, Chronos, Hades’ wicked father, has escaped his imprisonment to create war in Olympus. Players will battle through the Underworld and take on the Titan of Time as Melinoe, the immortal Princess of the Underworld and sister to Zagreus. As the immortal witch and sorcerer, explore a bigger and more expanded world with Olympus behind you.
Credit: Supergiant GamesThe technical test introduced players to the dawn of witchcraft and Melinoe’s lifelong mission to defeat Chronos. But Melinoe can’t complete this journey alone. With the help of a few familiar faces and a few new gods, Melinoe’s chance of success in the ever-shifting Underworld is that much more achievable. The developers took to Twitch last month to showcase Melinoe’s new abilities, Hexes, and updated artwork from the previous game.
By purchasing the Early Access, players will be able to play a work-in-progress build of the game and give feedback to the devs. According to Supergiant’s FAQ post, “the game already has at least as much content in Early Access as the original did back when it launched in Early Access.” Throughout the Early Access period, several major updates will be available, each expanding the game further with characters and events.
