In the darkest of places, you ought to think twice before letting a friend down.
You have been friends for a long time now. It has been so long—longer than either of you can remember—that you understand each other implicitly. You instantly pick up on cues that other people wouldn’t even catch. Working together as a team comes naturally after all you have been through. It’s a hard life here in the Nowhere, looking for a way out, a way back home, but things could be worse. You’re together, and that’s what matters.
In the latest Little Nightmares 3 trailer, showcases the two new protagonists, best friends Low and Alone.
The visuals are impressive, the music is minimal but effectively creepy, the platforming and puzzle-solving appear to be solid from a distance, and most importantly, the monsters look like they came straight out of my worst melatonin-induced nightmares. This is exactly what you would expect from a new Little Nightmares game.
Little Nightmares 3 can be played solo with an AI companion or in a two-player co-op, either on or offline. The video showcases some of the ways you’ll need to collaborate to solve environmental puzzles. Additionally, it highlights some of the eerie characters you’ll encounter, including a giant baby doll, something with horribly long arms, and undoubtedly many more.
In the trailer, there’s a sense of change that they both feel, although it’s hard to explain. They’re finally heading towards where they belong. However, the Necropolis is very different from what they knew before, and what comes after that… it’s even worse. It’s always… always worse…
Little Nightmares 3 heads to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch in 2025.
