Kinetic Games’ Phasmophobia first released back in 2020 and took live-streaming platforms by storm. The Pandemic-era hit remained a fixture with titles like Among Us, Animal Crossing, and Fall Guys. However, the multiplayer game was only previously available for PC users.

During Microsoft’s Xbox Games Extended Showcase stream, the U.K. studio announced that Phasmophobia would be coming to consoles in August. Although no detailed date has been announced, the studio told fans to keep their eyes peeled for an update in the coming weeks.

Phasmophobia is a 4-player online psychological coop game where you and your team must investigate a ghost haunting. While using ghost-hunting equipment like EMF Readers and Spirit Boxes, players need to collect evidence to identify which ghost is haunting the area. Although there are 24 ghosts, finding Cursed Possessions can help give you an edge in making your case.

Along with the console date, the trailer confirmed cross platform capabilities, free content updates, seasonal events, a rewarding progression system, customizable difficulties, weekly challenges, and equipment layouts.

Phasmophobia is currently available for Early Access on Steam. Meanwhile Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2 users will be able to join the hunt in August.
