The day is finally here. We’ve been waiting with bated breath to see some footage of Jordan Peele’s new film, Us and the movie gods have granted our wish. What better way to start a holiday than with a trailer for one of next year’s most anticipated features. Unwrap this sucker as fast as you can and take a look.

We’ll give you a moment to collect your thoughts, as there’s a lot going on here. This looks absolutely insane, in the best way possible. Peele has (rightfully) cashed in on the success of Get Out to make something bigger and crazier than his previous work. It may be an overused phrase, but this definitely looks like one hell of a roller-coaster ride. At the same time, it’s easy to glimpse there’s more going on under the surface, than just dopplegangers terrorizing a family. Though that in and of itself, is a rather cool hook for the movie.

If, for some terrible reason you can’t view the trailer above, or don’t want to creep out your family members at some gathering, here’s the official synopsis:

“Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide Wilson feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family. After spending a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers, Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover the silhouette of four figures holding hands as they stand in the driveway. Us pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.”

What do you all think? Did this trailer finally push you over the top and now you can’t wait to see the movie? Are you frantically trying to find out how all this bunnies play into things? What’s with that mask partially pushed up on the son’s head the whole time? We don’t have any answers here, but we can’t wait to find out. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long, as Us descends into theaters on March 15, 2019.
