‘No Escape’ shows what happen when we crave to much attention and are willing to do anything to get it.
A social media star travels with his friends to Moscow to capture new content for his successful VLOG. Always pushing the limits and catering to a growing audience, he and his friends enter a cold world of mystery, excess and danger. As the line between real life and social media is blurred, the group must fight to escape, and survive.
The trailer vaguely reminds me of the low budget darling, ‘Haunt,’ from last year from the writing team of Beck and Woods. However, ‘No Escape’ incorporates more technology and someone that craves attention. From the trailer alone I’m not sure I will care about the characters enough to care if they die. So what we may get is a ‘SAW’ like concept crossed over with ‘Haunt.’
