Fans of The Expanse will be happy to hear that the Telltale series will follow the show. The game is set to take place prior to the events of the first season of the Amazon series.
The game will follow Camina Drummer, the Executive Officer of a scavenger crew aboard The Artemis. Players will follow as Drummer and her crew hunt for mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt. However, players will have to navigate fearsome pirates, shipwrecks, a mutiny, and hard decisions that will impact the fate of their crew.

Corey, the original author of the novel series of the same name. “We shared our initial plot and they not only gave great direction, [but] their suggestions found their way into the final game,” says the developers on their telltale page. The developers also commented that the telltale series will dive deeper into the story and flesh out the canon.
But fear not, you do not need to have watched the show to enjoy the episodic game.
Credit: Telltale GamesEpisodes of The Expanse: A Telltale Series will release every two weeks after the first episode premiere on July 27. Pre-orders are currently live, with options for Standard or Deluxe versions of the game. All pre-orders will come with 24-hour early access for PlayStation and PC users.
The Deluxe version will include an additional DLC episode after the completion of season 1. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, the Archangel episode confirmed that fans will be able to play as Chrisjen Avasarala. Players can expect to play the DLC episode during Fall 2023.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4/5, and for PC on Epic Games Store.
