Acclaimed gaming studio The Chinese Room along with Secret Mode has proudly announced their exciting new horror addition, Still Wakes The Deep. Fans got a first glimpse of the first-person psychological horror gameplay at the 2023 Gamescom. The game is set to release in early 2024 on Steam, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and the Epic Games Store.
In the year 1975, a catastrophic event befalls the Beira D oil rig situated near the shores of Scotland. As the player, your mission is to navigate the deteriorating rig and rescue your crew from a supernatural terror that exists there.
Storyline
Step into the shoes of an offshore oil rig worker. Locked in a battle for survival amidst a brutal storm, treacherous surroundings, and the icy waters of the North Sea. Additionally, all connections to the outside world are cut off. Meaning, that escape routes are nonexistent and leave only a confrontation with the deep terror that has infiltrated the rig.
Embark on a mission to locate your crew members and assist them in staying alive. Navigating through flooded corridors and storm-battered decks by running, climbing, and swimming. Confront horrifying enemies while holding onto the hope of reuniting with your family one day.
