In a surprising announcement, Capcom showed its first trailer for its ninth entry into the Resident Evil franchise: Resident Evil Requiem. Set to release February 27, 2025, the trailer shows fans a dramatic shift from the previous entries and into a “cinematic high-stakes action”.
Resident Evil Requiem follows Grace Ashcroft to uncover a series of unusual and strange deaths. Although not much else has been revealed about the story, players were quick to make a possible connection of Grace to Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak. In Outbreak, Alyssa is an investigative reporter who works to uncover and expose the Umbrella Corporation.

Resident Evil Requiem will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and for PC via Steam.
