The survival horror game gives fans an inside look into the motion capture development process for the project. What’s more, rumors of Junji Ito’s involvement with the game have sent its followers into a frenzy!

Narrated by Cutscene Director Minoru Kusakabe, whose credits include collaborating with renowned Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama on titles like Forbidden Siren and Gravity Rush. The video offers an exclusive insight into the intriguing world of Slitterhead. Moreover, Kusakabe expresses his enthusiasm for the project. He states, “Toyama came over to me again when he founded Bokeh Game Studio. From there, I am actively involved in [it].” Aside from that, the video explores the motion capture team’s workflow. As well as how they make the performances in the game look so real.

In addition to this exciting development video, Bokeh Game Studio has sent the gaming community into a craze with speculations regarding the involvement of acclaimed artist and horror maestro, Junji Ito. A post on social media platform X reveals a mysterious image that looks extremely similar to Ito’s iconic 1986 manga, Tomie. Fans eagerly pointed out the uncanny similarity, which has ignited discussions about a potential collaboration.

However, Bokeh Game Studio clarifies that no official confirmation has been provided regarding Junji Ito’s involvement in the game. While Ito has briefly worked on the video game Junji Ito Maniac and conversed with acclaimed producer Hideo Kojima, the studio remains tight-lipped about the extent of his involvement.

Slitterhead is currently still in development. Although no release date has been announced, the studio is aiming for a 2023 release.
