Indie developer and publisher Firenut Games have just confirmed the release date for their reality-defying dark horror adventure game, Shines Over: The Damned. The horror adventure game will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on March 21, 2024. Shines Over: The Damned is a terrifying adventure where players will question everything around them. Meanwhile, your senses and reality itself are put to the test as you navigate the dark, oppressive world around you. Alone in this mysterious world with no weapons and just your faithful dog to guide you, you must face the horrors and secrets of the world around you.
However, not many details about the plot or characters have been revealed. But players can expect a few mood-setting mechanics. With no name or friends to help you through the dark, high-tension world, it’s already setting a pretty eerie tone. This includes a beautifully haunting environment thanks to the developer using Quixel’s Megascans 3D imaging library. In addition to exploration, players will have to navigate platforming elements and environmental puzzles to reveal the secrets of the world.
