The apex predator from the 1979 horror makes its debut in The Fog in the newest Dead By Daylight PTB. With the release of a new killer comes a terrifying set of new powers and perks.

The Xenomorph’s Powers and Abilities

Killer Pursuit: The Xenomorph can access a tunnel system using Control Stations scattered around the map. When using the tunnels, nearby Survivors can be detected, and a sped-up cooldown of the Runner Mode ability.

Special Ability – Runner Mode: The stealthy new runner mode makes the Killer the most terrifying, where the Xenomorph can run on all fours and move silently, reducing its terror radius. While in Runner Mode, the Xenomorph also gains access to its Tail Attack.

Perks

Ultimate Weapon: Upon opening a locker, this perk activates. Any Survivors in your terror radius will scream, hindering them with Blindness for 30 seconds. This perk then goes on cooldown for 40/35/30 seconds.

Rapid Brutality: Instead of the traditional killer perk, Bloodlust, this perk gives killers a 5% haste after attacking a survivor with a basic attack for 8/9/10 seconds.

Alien Instinct: When you hook a survivor, you can see the aura of the Survivor farthest from you for 5 seconds, causing that Survivor to be oblivious for 16/18/20 seconds.

Players can now play as the protagonist of Alien, Ellen Ripley. She is cunning, intelligent, and elusive, and her perks perfectly match her personality.

Ellen’s Abilities and Perks

Lucky Star: Hiding in a locker turns off sounds of pain and blood, which typically alerts a killer to your location. This perk activates for 10 seconds, and once you exit the locker, the aura of other survivors and the closest generator appears. This perk has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds.

Chemical Trap: Once you complete a generator by 70%/60%/50%, this perk activates. After activating, it allows you to put an explosive trap on a pallet that stays active for 100/110/120 seconds. When a killer performs a break action on the pallet, the trap will explode and be slowed by 50% for 4 seconds.

Light Footed: If you are in a Healthy state, your footsteps when you run are silent. However, the perk deactivates when you perform a rushed action, which puts the perk on cooldown for 28/24/20 seconds.

New Map: Nostromo Wreckage

Explore the USCSS Nostromo from the film after the crash. Survivors can also utilize the environment on this map, with a pipe system that can stun and slow Killers. Around the map are seven Control Stations that Survivors can retrieve a Remote Flame Turret. Correct utilization of the Turrent can stun, slow, or bring the Killer out of Runner Mode.

This newest chapter releases on August 29, but PC players can participate in the PTB now.
