Horror giants Supermassive Games and Behaviour Interactive debuted their first trailer for their narrative-driven horror game, The Casting of Frank Stone. During Dead by Daylight’s anniversary stream, the studio first announced its expansion from the multiplayer realm with the episodic masters. Additionally, a second multiplayer title is also in development with Midwinter Entertainment.
The Casting of Frank Stone is a single-player game similar to previous Supermassive titles like The Quarry and Until Dawn. While this title will be set in the Dead by Daylight universe, it will feature an original cast to follow. In this decision-heavy title, players enter the world of Cedar Hills. The small town still terrorized by the violent and brutal murders committed by Frank Stone. As Stone’s bloody atrocities leave a terrifying mark on the community, a group of friends ventures into the depths of his Oregon steel mill. However, gruesome creatures spawn from the sadistic murders, leaving the friends on a twisted and horrifying journey.
The first trailer gives fans a first look at what to expect from Supermassive and Behaviour Interactive’s collaboration. Set in the steel mill, viewers can see Frank Stone (or someone somehow connected to his legacy) preparing his torturous tools and armor. Also featured is the cast of four friends who venture into the unfortunate mill. Dead by Daylight fans can see nods to the asymmetric game including Hooks, a Generator, and even a glimpse at what is possibly the Entity.
The Casting of Frank Stone is currently slated to release in 2024. The spin-off will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games, and Windows.
