For those who love a good gothic drama and/or those who love an aquatic cryptid mystery, Apple TV+ has you covered with their latest original series ‘The Essex Serpent.’ Adapted from Sarah Perry’s 2016 novel of the same name, we can also look forward to some real star power from leads Tom Hiddleston (‘Loki’) and Claire Danes (Homeland). We have a look at the new trailer for you and it is thick with dreamy 19th century dark seaside vibes. The story seems to hinge on scientific skepticism vs religious extremism but also looks incredibly sensual and romantic so I’m expecting a lot of serpent metaphors if you know what I mean!

SYNOPSIS:
