Tighten your laces and put on your red noses – Killer Klowns from Outer Space just announced their release date during IGN’s Fan Fest. Teravision Games and Illfonic also debuted in-game footage, giving fans a closer look at what to expect from the asymmetric title. Killer Klowns from Outer Space is an asymmetric 3 v 7 horror game based on the cult horror movie of the same name. In cooperation with the Chiodo Bros, this marks the first official expansion of the Killer Klowns franchise in 36 years.

Players can take on the roles of either the Klowns or the Humans. As a zany Klown, three players can utilize their unique killer abilities to hunt down the Humans before they escape. This includes nods to the original film, including Jumbo’s Penta-Shot that can hit 5 targets at once. Meanwhile, seven Humans must work together to de-activate the Klown’s Big Top spaceship, escape the map, or keep their fellow townsfolk alive by fighting back each round.

The live-service, panic-inducing title currently has several post-launch expansions and updates planned. Fans can pre-order the title starting on February 21 to get a one week Advance Access.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is set to release June 4 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and for PC via Steam.
