Konami gave fans quite a few surprises during their Konami Press Start earlier today, including news about Silent Hill f and teasing a Silent Hill remake from Bloober.

During the stream, Silent Hill f producer Motoi Okamoto and writer Ryukishi07 gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the game. Game Director Al Wang emphasized f’s turn towards dedicating itself to Japanese horror instead of the Westernized themes recent titles follow. Wang stated the change came from wanting “the key atmospheric elements that defined the classic Silent Hill titles [and] to evolve them for Silent Hill f.

It was during the end of the presentation the iconic sound of Akira Yamaoaka’s ‘Silent Hill’ began to play. With the haunting sound and fog arising from black, Konami revealed that the Silent Hill remake from Bloober was currently in development. Besides its development announcement, no further information has been released.

The original 1999 survival horror follows Harry Mason as he searches for his missing daughter, Cheryl, in the fictional town of Silent Hill. Through his search, he discovers a cult attempting to revive the deity it worships and uncovers the deity’s true origin.

Silent Hill f will release to PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S, and for PC September 25th, 2025.
