Konami’s interactive series, Silent Hill: Ascension has just gotten a release date for its premiere. Genvid Entertainment took to Twitter to give fans some exciting updates regarding the live event. Fans will be able to decide the fate and canon of the Silent Hill universe starting on October 31.
Genvid’s CEO and Executive Producer for Ascension, Jacob Navok, teased fans with some exciting news. While the ‘premiere’ is just around the corner, fans can already pre-install the dedicated app. After its premiere, daily content will release concerning the fate of the new Silent Hill characters and story. With the new content, viewers will face community decisions, quicktime events, and puzzles to progress the story. Currently, developer Genvid has approximately six months worth of content to release, with several different possible endings.
If you miss out on a daily update, viewers can get updates during the next sessions in a quick recap event, or watch the weeks’ progression in a recap video on the app or the Ascension site. For choices left unchosen, the creative team has said they are looking into different formats to show fans what the other paths would have led to.
First announced during the Silent Hill Transmission last year, Konami revealed a slate of new games, a movie, and an interactive series. This included a new feature, Return to Silent Hill, a Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team, a collaboration between Annapurna Interactive and No Code Studios for Silent Hill: Townfall, and a Showa-period mainline game written by Ryukishi07, Silent Hill: f.
Silent Hill: Ascension releases on October 31 at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
