Just in time to make your Galentine’s Day a bit bloodier, season 3 of “Yellowjackets” is arriving! The first 2 episodes will drop on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME on Friday, February 14th and will debut on-air on Sunday, February 16th.
“Yellowjackets” follows a girls high school soccer team bound for the playoffs when their plane crashes in the wilderness. While the survivors of the crash must face the elements, injuries, and their own hunger, there also seems to be supernatural forces at work in the woods. Simultaneously we see those who made it through as adults navigating not only their trauma, but also an unknown entity who seems bent on exposing exactly what happened in those woods.
We don’t know much yet about what is expected to unfold in season 3 but we do know a couple of the season’s guest stars. Two-time Academy Award-winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby) as well as Joel McHale (Community) will be popping in this season. The rest of the cast includes: Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock), Christina Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything), Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), Lauren Ambrose (Servant), Sophie Nélisse (The Book Thief), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), Sophie Thatcher (Heretic), Samantha Hanratty (Shameless), Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet), Steven Krueger (The Originals), Warren Kole (Shades of Blue), Kevin Alves (Locke & Key), Sarah Desjardins (The Night Agent), Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings trilogy).
