Gunpowder & Sky’s sci-fi brand DUST announced that Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, 6 Underground, “Macbeth”) is set to star in and executive produce ‘Chrysalis,’ season three of its hit “DUST” podcast series. In addition to Hawkins, the cast includes; Toni Collette (“United States of Tara”, Hereditary, The Sixth Sense), Lance Reddick (“The Wire”, John Wick series), Haley Joel Osment (What We Do In The Shadows, “The Kominsky Method”), Matthew Wolf (“Days of Our Lives”, Missing Link), Shea Whigham (“Boardwalk Empire”, “Perry Mason”), Chris Diamantopoulos (“Silicon Valley”), Dominic Rains (“Chicago Med”, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) and Jaboukie Young-White (“The Daily Show”, Someone Great).

Debuting on September 16th, “CHRYSALIS” is an epic drama of an AI awakening to the destruction of the human race by an unknown alien species, and vowing vengeance at any cost. DUST will drop the first two episodes in the 14-part season on September 16th, followed by an episode every Monday and Wednesday, and will be available on all podcast platforms. The audio drama will also be available to binge in its entirety exclusively on Stitcher Premium – through a partnership between the companies – on release day.

Season one of the “DUST” series (“Horizons”) premiered last October as an anthology of audio stories by classic science fiction literary visionaries such as Philip K. Dick (Minority Report, Total Recall) and Ray Bradbury (Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles), as well as emerging speculative fiction voices such as Alex Irvine (Supernatural: John Winchester’s Journal) and R.K. Nickel (Guilds and Glaives).
Season two of “DUST” (“Flight 008”) was created by 11 of the biggest writers in science fiction, with performances by an all-star cast; Dan Stevens (“Downton Abbey”, Beauty and the Beast), Calista Flockhart (“Ally McBeal”, “Supergirl”), Reid Scott (“Veep”, Venom 2), Keith David (Barbershop, The Princess and the Frog), Alfred Molina (Frozen 2, Frida), and Danny Trejo (Con Air, Heat).
