Gun Interactive took to social media to announce a few sweet treats while in the Valentine’s Day spirit – a new Bride Sissy and Shirtless Johnny cosmetic. In addition to these outfits, the devs announced soon-to-come content in a recent Community Check-In coinciding with the recent patch update. While there is no set release date for the content, fans can expect to see the content expansion within the next 90 days.
During their streamed Community Check-In, Gun CEO Wes Keltner and Brand Strategist Matt Szep discussed players’ concerns, shining light on their new content. While the new Bride Sissy and Shirtless Johnny outfits were first mentioned in the stream, fans got a sneak peek on the TCSM Twitter today. The cosmetics come from a partnership with Art Bully, an art studio with notable previous work in Amnesia: The Bunker, Diablo IV, Stray, and Friday The 13th. Both the Bride Sissy and Shirtless Johnny outfits will be free for all players on February 22.
Besides cosmetics, fans can expect a variety of new content including new Executions, Weapon Skins, a Victim and Family Member, and the Museum Mode. The Museum Mode will allow players to navigate the Family House in camera mode, solve puzzles, and get behind-the-scenes trivia and footage of the film and game.
In addition to the outfits and new players, a new map, The Mill, is also in the works. The Mill seeks to challenge players as it’s designed more vertically, similar to the Nancy’s House map. The devs announced that the map will push players to change their gameplay as they ascend and descend the four playable levels.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is available for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
