‘Antlers’ from Guillermo del Toro (producer) is based on a short story from Nick Antosca called ‘The Quiet Boy.’ Nick is best known for bringing creepypasta stories to life in the SyFy horror anthology television series ‘Channel Zero.’ You can read the source material here.

‘Antlers’ has an ominous tone throughout the trailer that provides creepy pacing and builds tension – which is all but spoiled by a reveal at the end. Something I would have preferred to have discovered for myself watching the film.

That being said the Scott Cooper (director) film does look promising. It will be Cooper’s first attempt at a horror film and it appears he capture the story perfectly.

‘Antlers’ is in theaters April 17, 2020.

SYNOPSIS:
