Lady Death fans rejoice – a video game adaptation is now in the works. The video game adaptation, Lady Death Demonicron, will be a canonical beat-em-up set in the Lady Death universe. The Kickstarter project achieved its $150,000 goal within 48 hours of launch. Although the Kickstarter doesn’t mention a release date, developer Art of Play will release the adaptation for PC and consoles.

Lady Death Demonicron‘s pre-production coincides with the 30th anniversary of Lady Death. With appearances in nearly 400 comics, Lady Death sets out on a new journey – 15 brutal levels of beat-em-up hell. “We’re excited to handcraft the next chapter of Lady Death in video game form with the creator of Lady Death Brian Pulido and his incredible team!” said Ash Nicholls, Director of Art of Play. “It’s time for Lady Death to conquer the video game space with the leadership of Art of Play,” says Brian Pulido, “Demonicron is true to Lady Death’s savage spirit. I can’t wait for players around the world to get their hands on it.”

The adaptation follows Lady Death and her partner, Ravenheart, as they fight through the depths of hell. Players will navigate through hand-drawn environments as they satisfy their thirst for vengeance. Between Lady Death’s lethal sword skills, destructive magic, and strong intuition, the 15 brutal levels are no match for her quest for victory. As you slash and burn your way through each level, players can upgrade their kit. This includes getting better swords, new magic, and unlocking brutal finishers. With inspirations from classic 90s arcade classics like Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and Mortal Kombat, players are in for a brutal ride.

Lady Death Demonicron will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and for PC via Steam.
