Trailer for ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ Anticipates a Gooey Love Story in Time for Valentine’s Day

Based on a couple of photos and vibes alone ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ has the spot for my most anticipated film of 2024 locked in, and now, finally, we have a trailer! Set in 1989 and calling to mind films like ‘Edward Scissorhands’ and ‘Beetlejuice’ the latest from writer Diablo Cody is poised to be one of the most fun horror films of the year. This will be the first feature for director Zelda Williams and will have a gateway friendly PG-13 rating for “bloody images and sexual material.”

Kathryn Newton (‘Freaky’) and Cole Sprouse (“Riverdale”) will be in the lead roles with Carla Gugino (“The Fall of the House of Usher”), Liza Soberano (‘Alone/Together’), Joe Chrest (“Stranger Things”) and Henry Eikenberry (‘The Crowded Room’) rounding out the cast.

Synopsis:
A coming of RAGE love story about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse. After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.

Lisa Frankenstein’ will hit theaters on February 9th, 2024
