Netflix new docuseries ‘Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes’ gives us an inside look at the notorious serial killer from Ted Bundy’s perspective. The four-part docuseries includes interviews that have never been seen by the public as well as new interviews from those close to the case.

The tapes are chilling and methodical. Playing on his thirst to fulfill his need to kill, some of the quotes from the trailer set the tone for the docuseries. Anyone familiar with the Bundy murders already know much of his story but this sheds some new light on the killer. While there have been many documentaries and series done on Bundy that are more chilling, such as the MSNBC Documentary in which he describes the some of the murders, the new docuseries will feature clips never before presented to he public.

“He had very blue eyes. When he really got going, his eyes went absolutely black,” said one man that is featured in an interview from the Netflix trailer.

“He just doesn’t look like the type to kill somebody…” another woman said in the clip. Which is the sentiment many woman said during the case – so much so he had a bizarre fan club of sorts during the trial.

“I’m not an animal, and I’m not crazy. I don’t have a split personality. I mean, I’m just a normal individual.” This quote from Bundy might be the most disturbing. After killing 30+ woman he never thought he was a monster. But it was clear he was.

The series is set to stream on Netflix January 24th. Zak Efron will take on the role of Bundy later this year in a feature film.
