We’re about to get a lot more of Zak Bagans and the ‘Ghost Adventures’ gang — three more years, to be exact. Paranormal investigator, executive producer and filmmaker Bagans has inked a three-year deal with streaming platform discovery+, current home to the ‘Ghost Adventures’ franchise.
Since the platform’s U.S. launch in 2021, ‘Ghost Adventures’ has been one of discovery+’s marquee programs and one of its consistent top-performers. Under the new deal, Bagans will star in and produce over 100 hours of supernatural and horror content for the discovery+ portfolio, Deadline reported.
So what can we expect from the paranormal investigating frontman? We can certainly plan on new seasons of ‘Ghost Adventures,’ plus additional specials and episodes of the semi-scripted series ‘The Haunted Museum,’ a collaboration between Bagans and horror filmmaker Eli Roth.
Most recently announced was the first-ever ‘Ghost Adventures’ spinoff, ‘Ghost Adventures: House Calls,’ premiering May 19th on discovery+. According to the Travel Channel announcement, the new series will see the team responding to urgent calls from homeowners who report unexplained activity in their homes. Bagans serves as the overseeing host of the show, sending his expert team — Goodwin, Tolley and Wasley — to investigate the potentially haunted homes.
