Black Friday — the most horrifying day of the year for those who work retail — is about to get scarier. This time, the shoppers are after blood rather than the latest tech gear.

Making its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest is ‘Black Friday,’ a new alien invasion flick meets holiday horror comedy starring Devon Sawa (‘Final Destination’) as a father in the midst of divorce, and none other than Bruce Campbell (‘Evil Dead’) as a nebbish manager at a store called “We Love Toys.” The film is written by Andy Greskoviak and also stars Ivana Baquero (‘Pan’s Labyrinth’), Ryan Lee (‘Goosebumps’) and Michael Jai White (‘Spawn’).

The official logline for the film, directed by Casey Tebo, reads:

A ragtag group of toy store employees get more than they bargained for when Black Friday shoppers mutate into violent monsters.

Aside from some good survival antics with an offbeat group of overworked store employees, ‘Black Friday’ also promises gory practical effects for maximum horror fun factor.

After making its premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 24th, ‘Black Friday’ will have a wide release this fall from Screen Media.
