Blumhouse and Sony present a dark take on, Fantasy Island, the 1980’s TV series of the same name. Blumhouse rarely releases a stinker and the approach they have taken for the re-imagining of this property feels fresh and intriguing in regards of what I would have expected. A murder mystery horror flick.
SYNOPSIS:
The Enigmatic Mr. Roarke (played by Michael Peña) makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.
Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare) also stars with Michael Rooker, Charlotte McKinney, Parisa Fitz-Henley and Austin Stowell.
Truth or Dare’s Jeff Wadlow directed a script written by Wadlow, Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs.
