NBC to Develop New Dark Dramedy ‘Redrum’

NBC and Jenna Bans (Good Girls, Grey’s Anatomy) is bringing a new dark dramedy into development – Redrum.

Redrum’s greenlight comes after news of the cancellation of NBC’s Good Girls for their fifth season after rumors leaked about tensions between the cast.

Redrum is described by Deadline “as a sexy, swampy dark dramedy/thriller” and will follow two best friends – Jess and Sadie – who host a true crime podcast together. But when thier taunting of a sociopath pushes them over the edge and leads to more dead bodies in their wake,  Jess and Sadie take the investigation into their own hands in hopes of catching the killer before their demise.

Redrum is based off the original concept by Nzingha Stewart (Good Girls, Black Monday), who will also serve as writer, director, and executive producer.  Jenna Bans and Carla Banks-Waddles (Good Girls, At That Age) will also serve as an executive producer.
