Today we got our first look at the upcoming ‘Predator’ prequel, ‘Prey’ from 20th Century Studios. The teaser trailer they released may only be about 45 seconds long, but for fans of one of sci-fi/horror’s greatest franchises that should be enough to get the blood pumping. ‘Prey’ plans to take us back in time 300 years to the Predator’s first trip to earth, and give us a new and exciting heroine to root for.

Filmmakers on this project, including director Dan Trachtenberg (‘10 Cloverfield Lane’) and writer Patrick Aison (‘Jake Ryan’) were committed to creating an accurate portrayal of the Comanche and bring a level of authenticity that rings true to its Indigenous peoples. Producer Jhane Myers (‘Monsters of God’) is a member of the Comanche nation and is known for her attention and dedication to films surrounding the Comanche and Blackfeet nations and her passion for honoring the legacies of the Native communities. The cast of ‘Prey’ is almost entirely comprised of Native and First Nation’s talent.
