Earlier this month, Feardemic’s Fear Fest 2023 showcased an array of new and exclusive trailers for  horror game enthusiasts to enjoy. Among them was indie studio Pixelsplit and Daedalic Entertainment’s psychological horror game, REVEIL.

The latest trailer offers players a glimpse into the chilling first-person narrative of Walter Thompson, who is trying to uncover his mysterious and dark past. What’s more, players step into a carefully designed world where the lines between reality and illusion become hazy. Can you persist and uncover the answers to Walter’s troubling questions?

Background

Imagine waking up feeling disoriented and with a pounding headache. Things around you seem strange yet oddly familiar. But there’s something troubling you, your wife Martha and daughter Dorie are nowhere to be found. In your quest for answers, you explore your surroundings and try to piece together your broken memories.

As the story unfolds, you encounter puzzling tasks that drive you to uncover the truth. You ask yourself, what happened the previous night, and why can’t you stop thinking about your days as a circus stage builder? Reality, memories, and imagination all blur, making you realize that there’s no turning back. However, you have to see this through.

Gameplay

Delve into the mind and history of Walter Thompson. Where impressions grow darker and more mysterious as the game progresses. Caught in the chaos of confusing fragmented memories, and strange visions, your only option is to keep going, even as hope fades.

REVEIL offers players an immersive and thought-provoking gaming experience, with five acts in different crafted environments. As well as a first-person narrative filled with various challenging puzzles and riddles. Along with the stunning atmospheric visuals that reference the historic 1960s circus era.

REVEIL is expected to release later this year on PC. It is currently available to Wishlist on Steam.
