Are you ready to go back to Castle Rock this October?
Hulu is gearing up for season 2 of Castle Rock. The series that explores the Stephen King universe weaving familiar parts of his lore into new story lines. To celebrate the release Hulu has dropped a cool promo that takes you on a 14 minute ride to Castle Rock with a bunch of easter eggs thrown in along the way. From Pennywise to Shawshank. Season one focused primarily on Shawshank Prison and a mysterious “kid” that was left to rot there. Season 2 brings us the story of Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan) from King’s classic, Misery as she slowly unravels.
Castle Rock is a psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock.
Misery arrives October 23 on Hulu.
