Sorry Jack, Chucky’s Back! The new USA / SYFY Chucky series was teased last week ahead of the panel at San Diego Comic-Con and now we have a full trailer of the doll that has terrorized us for years. And the best part about it? It feels like they are going back to his roots.

The trailer was released on Chucky’s officially YouTube channel which included this description:

“Welcome to my official channel! I was once the notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray until I was gunned down in a Chicago toy store, but before my dying breath I chanted the Damballa ritual and have been stuck as a doll ever since. Take a look back at my most memorable movie moments, from my multiple deaths and reincarnations to my killer one liners, as I desperately try (and often fail) to reclaim human form once again!”

So it looks like Charles Lee Ray has has his own “official” YouTube channel for awhile now – which I love.

In addition to the official trailer drop they also released a special “The Legacy of Chucky” featurette clocking in at 14 minutes. The exclusive featurette  celebrates the 30+ year legacy of the Child’s Play franchise and iconic character, Chucky, with never-before-seen interviews with franchise creator Don Mancini and fan favorites Brad Dourif (Chucky), Jennifer Tilly (Tiffany), Fiona Dourif (Nica), Alex Vincent (Andy Barclay), and Christine Elise (Kyle). Fans will also get a behind-the-scenes look and world premiere exclusive trailer of the highly anticipated Chucky series coming to USA & SYFY this fall, which will welcome Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Casper) and Lexa Doig (Arrow, Stargate: SG1) to the franchise as well as Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Teo Briones. Get ready to play!

The series will premiere October 12th just in time for the Halloween vibes.
